avent bpa free baby bottles
There is a lot of confusion in the marketplace about the Avent brand because one of their bottle styles contains BPA and one doesn't.
Avent bottles are readily available in almost every supermarket and chemist shop in Australia. We didn't always find the BPA Free version, but we always found the other one.
Which Avent Baby Bottles are BPA Free and which ones aren't?
Avent Natural Feeding Bottle is made from PES plastic and is BPA FREE- X Avent Feeding Bottle contains BPA, we believe it's made from polycarbonate.
Avent only introduced the Natural Feeding Bottle in to Australia in 2009. If your Avent bottle is perfectly clear, more than likely it is made from Polycarbonate plastic, which contains BPA in the raw materials. If your Avent bottle has a golden colour to it, more than likely it is made from PES plastic and is BPA Free.
Please check with your local Avent retailer or visit the Avent website for confirmation and further details.
So which is our favourite BPA Free Plastic Baby Bottle?
From the moment we saw them, we fell in love with the Green to Grow range. They have a regular neck and a wide neck width available, in two different sizes (pictured right).
The quality is excellent, they're made from BPA Free PES plastic, spare parts & accessories are readily available and the company are a member of 1% for the Planet.
Green to Grow baby bottles come in both plastic and glass. The glass baby bottles are in a regular neck width and the parts are interchangable between the glass & the plastic regular neck width bottles.
